Setting a Temporary Directory
If you double-click on a file in the Porta+ FTP Client window, then the program copies that file
into a temporary directory in your local computer, and then executes the default operation for
this file.
For instance, if you double-click on a Word file, then the program copies that document onto your
computer and then opens it in the WinWord. If you double-click on a GIF image, then the program
copies this image onto your computer and then opens it in an Image Viewer.
Copied files will remain in this temporary directory until you empty it or execute the
Disk Cleanup operation on your computer (from the disk's context menu in My Computer).
By default Porta+ FTP Client uses the system TEMP directory. If you plan to use these files
in the future, then you can direct the program to copy these files into another directory and
so avoid their deletion when execute the Disk Cleanup.
